Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide:
• Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, password, profile picture
• Payment Information: Processed securely through third-party payment gateways (Razorpay, PayU, etc.). We do not store complete credit/debit card numbers.
• Content: Videos, comments, messages, and other content you upload or share
• Communications: Support requests, feedback, and correspondence with us
• KYC Information: Government ID, address proof (for content creators and business accounts only)

B. Information Collected Automatically:
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, browser type, unique device identifiers

About This App

Election Webcast Live Streamer is a specialized application designed exclusively for official election monitoring and webcasting purposes. This app is used by authorized election officials to broadcast live video from polling stations.

Information We Do NOT Collect

Unlike our other services, this app:
• Does NOT collect personal information
• Does NOT use cookies or tracking technologies
• Does NOT use analytics or telemetry
• Does NOT display advertisements
• Does NOT share any data with third parties
• Does NOT store any data on our servers

Data That Stays on Your Device

• Login Credentials: Stored locally on your device only
• Stream Configuration: Server settings from your organization stored locally
• Local Recordings: Saved to device storage (Android) or photo library (iOS)

Data Transmission

Video and audio streams are transmitted directly from your device to your organization's configured RTMP server. Streamonweb does not have access to these streams. The data flow is:

Streamonweb is not an intermediary in this data transmission.

Permissions Used

Android & iOS (Common):
• Camera: Required to capture video for live streaming and local recording
• Microphone: Required to capture audio for live streaming and local recording
• Internet: Required to transmit live streams via RTMP protocol to your organization's server

Android-Specific Permissions:
• Storage: Save local video recordings to device storage
• Foreground Service: Maintain continuous streaming when app is backgrounded
• Do Not Disturb Access: Silence calls and notifications during live broadcasts
• Battery Optimization Exemption: Ensure uninterrupted 12+ hour broadcasts
• Screen Pinning (Lock Task): Lock device to app during election broadcasts

iOS-Specific Permissions:
• Photo Library: Save local video recordings
• Background Audio: Maintain audio streaming in background
• Local Network: Connect to RTMP streaming servers

Security Features

This app includes security measures designed for official election monitoring:
• Screen Capture Prevention: Screenshots and screen recording are blocked to protect broadcast integrity
• Device Integrity Verification: Root/jailbreak detection to ensure broadcasts from uncompromised devices
• Secure Transmission: Streams transmitted via RTMP to organization servers
• Device Lockdown: Screen pinning to prevent accidental app switching during broadcasts

All security features operate locally and do not transmit data to Streamonweb.

Third-Party Servers (Your Organization)

This app connects to streaming servers configured by your organization (Election Commission or authorized authority). Streamonweb is not responsible for:
• Server-side data storage and retention policies
• Who has access to your broadcast streams
• How stream data is processed, stored, or archived

Please consult your organization's IT department or the Election Commission for their data handling practices.

Data Retention

Since we do not collect any data, there is no data retention by Streamonweb. Local recordings and credentials stored on your device remain until you:
• Delete them manually from your device
• Clear the app's data
• Uninstall the application

Your Control

You have complete control over all data on your device:
• Delete local recordings anytime via file manager (Android) or Photos app (iOS)
• Clear app data to remove stored credentials
• Uninstall app to remove all locally stored data
• Revoke permissions anytime through device settings

Intended Users

This app is designed exclusively for:
• Authorized election officials
• Election Commission personnel
• Designated polling station staff

This app is not intended for general public use or for children.

The Election Webcast app includes an optional face detection feature that automatically adjusts camera focus and exposure when faces are detected in the video frame.

How it works:

• On-device processing: Face detection is performed entirely on your device using built-in hardware capabilities (iOS AVFoundation / Android Camera2 API). No face data is transmitted to our servers or any third parties.
• No facial recognition: The feature only detects the presence and position of faces — it does NOT perform facial recognition, identification, or any form of biometric analysis.
• No data storage: No facial data, images, or biometric templates are created, stored, or transmitted. Face position coordinates are used momentarily to adjust camera settings and immediately discarded.
• Privacy by design: This feature is designed to improve video quality during election webcasting and does not collect or process any personal biometric information.

User Control:

• Face detection is enabled by default for optimal video quality
• Users can disable this feature at any time via Settings → Camera → Face Detection toggle
• Disabling face detection does not affect other app functionality

Legal Basis:

This processing is based on legitimate interest to improve video quality during election webcasting. As no biometric data is stored or transmitted, this feature is designed to comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDPA) and similar privacy regulations.
